About
As you can see on my right sidebar I have a list of the last Entrecard droppers. It is automatically updated with the last droppers. You can choose to display a list of 1-98 links, where 5 is default. This widget can be useful for both you and your visitors. You don’t have to check your inbox all the time and you show appreciation to the ones that drop by your site!
How to use
Locate your RSS-feed. To do this:
- Log on to Entrecard.com
- Go to your dashboard
- Right-click on the RSS-icon as you can see in the picture
- Choose “Copy Link Location”
- Paste the URL in the code and place it on your webpage (eg. Wordpres: Theme editor)
- Note: Be careful if you are trying to add it as a text-widget in wordpress. You can take a look here at the wordpress support, though it shouldn’t be any problem.
Disclamer: You may use this code on your webpage, but then on your own responsibility. The widget can be removed at any time, without notice. I will try my best not to do that.

I’ve got it running on my blog. I originally posted it as a text widget exactly as shown on the post, except with my feed of course, and it erased the rest of my text widgets. I didn’t want to get into the code of my sidebar if I didn’t need to.
However when I removed the etc. and just added the script portion as a text widget it worked.

Yes. As you can see in the feed-url you use.
You have used the wrong RSS-url.
You have used:
http://entrecard.com/feeds/advertisers/CM59WCYTMH/rss2.0
While I think it should be:
http://entrecard.com/feeds/inbox/CM59WCYTMH/rss2.0
As you can get from checking the url of the RSS-icon in your dashboard.

but I get absolutely nothing… any clue what I did wrong?

Though as pointed out, you need to be careful when using it as a text-widget in wordpress. Leisa commented here with the same problems, a total restart of the blog wasn’t necessary though..

Well, you can remove the text-widget you added for entrelist. Not just from the sidebar, but delete it.
Try to add it again, but be careful with the quotation mark and make sure they are correct. (I corrected this marks in this post few hours ago)

I did som testing in the database (Wordpress 2.5):
in wp_options, you will find widget_text. In that row you will find the text-widget you added. If you only have 1 text-widget, you can use (Wordpress 2.5):
a:1:{i:1;a:2:{s:5:”title”;s:0:”";s:4:”text”;s:0:”";}}
Just take a look at that row in the database, and remove the text-widget you added.
REMEMBER: copy the text before you do any change! and try some testing.
a:1 in the beginning, means that there is ONE text-widget. If it is a:2 it means two. If you remove one widget, then you need to decrease it with one

I tried your widget and put it VIA THEME EDITOR this time (finally got it right, huh?) but it didn’t appeared at all.. so I decided to leave it by that and add an RSS rather. before making any mistake again :p thanks anyways for this widget =)

Good! As long as you list some of the droppers, people wont care if you use this widget or just a RSS..

BTW: If you put it in the code in THEME EDITOR you can’t place it anywhere inside “dynamic_sidebar” function, because this is overloaded if you use any widgets. You need to place it outside of this function.
