Fully automated entrecard dropping
If I where to say I had found a technique that let’s you drop all of your 300 drops on entrecard fully automated. You could start the “thing” when you go to work and come home to 300 drops. It could be highly customizable so that you could configure it to start with the users that lately has dropped their cards at you and then move on with eg. users in the same group or random.
Forget about powerdropping, chaindropping and so on. Also forget about the Ethical/Moral issues here. Because entrecard is built upon the idea of bloggers visiting each other and leaving their card done in a human way, every technique, even powerdropping breaks this scheme.
A tool that could enable a user with one or many blogs to drop 300 cards for every blog, every day could be of some power. Today Entrecard users could even buy and sell credits. I have seen prices of 10.000 entrecredits as high as 85$.
Lets do some calculation:
1 blog
300 drops = 300 credits.
30 days x 300 drops = 9.000 credits
Lets assume that you get 50-100 drops at your entrecard daily if you drop 300. That is average 75 /day a month.
30 days x 75 drops = 2.250 credits
SUM: 11.250 credits!
2 blogs: 22.500 credits!
3 blogs: 33.750 credits!
If you count that in dollars., you might get (if you are lucky):
1 blog: about 90$!
2 blogs: about 180$!
3 blogs: about 270$!
That beats a LOT of link-exchange/affiliate/adsense/etc programs!
Now, as you can see, you can easily make 270$ a month. How much would you been willing to pay for such a tool? Please comment!

Hi!
Sounds enticing. Except that ECs are being sold at $4.50 for a thousand these days or $45.00 for 10K. Automated harvesting will further dump more credits into the market.
Thanks.

I have seem a variance in the value, from $4.50 to 8$ for a thousand.
I agree that automated harvesting will decrease the value, but if you get ahead the others, you may get a good advantage.
Also, you could sell the credits yourself. Make simple paypal-system and start right away!
I might do that for my (that) much credits.
Have you calculated your hourly wage? I am curious… I was power dropping and then it dawned on me that it took all the fun out of blogging.
Good luck to you!

That’s assuming that you don’t get caught or banned
Its wrong and will ruin EC. you will the thing that is getting your traffic and making money… If you can print money its worthless.

It absolutely kills the point of Entrecard.

While one should be concerned with the ethics/morals, really it is Entrecard’s TOS that will determine if a “fully automated” card dropping system will be allowed. I suspect that if Entrecard sniffs an automated system in use they will ban the user. So, if you can create a system that doesn’t leave a footprint in the log files, then more power to you. When you sell that system to others you cross a different line, at least in my mind. Should your system be detected and subsequently banned by Entrecard, you’ll have some unhappy customers who might want their money back, depending on what you represented to them as part of the sale. And seeing as how you have waved a red flag with this post, you’d have to use an anonymous IP as surely you have or soon will catch Graham’s or Phirate’s attention.
Don’t get the wrong thing here CyberCelt. This is only theoretical.
I agree that such a thing will ruin Entrecard. But my point of view here is that:
The current businessmodell of entrecard makes it profitable to be a powerdropper. That was also one of the reasons why johncow quit. As more and more people realize that it is profitable to be a powerdropper, AND that they even can exchange the credits into dollars a new wave will evolve.
Several systems for powerdropping have also been developed (eg. one that extracted widget’s from pages and presented a page full of clickable widgets).
People have been waving a red flag for some time know. Also my point here is to wave a red flag, because of the way entrecard is currently built and works.
Also, we may not know if such system already exists and is in use. That is my point here!
im only do entrecard one hours a days .. and keep comment like this.. i don’t want to lose my joy. but it’s all about the choice.. i have banned from adsense and don’t want to banned again from entre

These systems are worthless because all that happens is this:
1.) Our fraud detection gear catches you
2.) Our gear zaps all your credits
3.) Your account gets deleted
4.) You wasted your money
Its a catch !!! no one can make a thing like that It Just a link Bait nothing else.

I think this will be banned as soon as BETA release introduced.
EC people are not fools and they will surely make some updates in TOS if they came across this post.
And If EC people will allow you to run this crap I will be the first one to quit EC, as Blogging is not just writing posts its a way to make your presence online and I would never want a stupid code visiting my site daily.
It seems spam to me and I hope everyone uses spam filters in their mails why not websites then.
My intention with this post was to set light on how vulnurable system like these can be.
When the credits can be turned into dollars, more and more people will try to figure out how to make’em. Thats just the nature of the whole thing. And I agree with alot of you guys, that it will ruin entrecard, which is my main income for traffic!
I try to read as much as possible about Entrecard since i started last week because I want to get a handle on what is going on and it totally amazes me that everyone wants to figure out a way to scam on anything. Entrecard has been great for traffic and comments and I really appreciate the program. Too bad people have nothing better to do to earn their own money they have to scavenge any good program out there and try to ruin it.

I don’t know if your or some of your commenters are aware, but Graham Langdon owns EC and he has spoken.
Automated dropping has already been tried a few times. And those doing it were punished.
at least makes u read the post
ha ha ha.
just as i calculated it. i saw on ebay selling 3000 credits for 10 dollars only. aside from ebay where else can we sell the credits, Im new to entrecard but I can drop the maximum within an hour. There are scripts downloadable on the net that would help everyone within the entrecard community.

I know Graham owns EC. And we already know that it is against the TOS, but a TOS won’t prevent people from trying.
When you put money into the game people will try, and as soon as people will try, weak parts of a businessmodel will become visible.
Also my theory was fully automated dropping that wasn’t detectable.
Pamps, Entrecredits.com says that they will buy entrecredits.
I don’t think it takes long to drop, and automating the process will just ruin the EC experience.
I wouldn’t risk automating the drops and being banned. Entrecard is a good system for new blogs. Also, anyone you sell those credits to, they risk losing them if they were “earned” through an automated way.
isn’t it the entrecard made for traffic? then money just comes next?
Why not just leave it that way, out of trouble. We knew already that there are bloggers that’s the account been deleted because they try something that they knew will violate the TOS. IF You really want to make money why not work harder, it’s worth then automate them and ruin the system or get banned.
I wouldn’t want it, inflation!!

Yeah, it will be interesting to see how they will handle the credits when alot is in loop.
Maybe we will see a form for stockmarked in the future?
I say such a tool should be free as the developer would become very liked & would make what ever off PR rather then selling such a tool.

I agree with the majority here in that, such a system would completely defeat the purpose of EntreCard and I’m a brand new user. I am astounded at the traffic that I am getting! The moral/ethical issues are a little bit difficult to deal with though.
I sincerely would like to leave an intelligent, thought provoking comment for everyone that drops a card on me but have realized that there simply are not enough hours in the day for that, however I feel that I should at least return the favor and drop my card for those that drop for me.
So, therefore I am finding that in my efforts to return every drop (which I will definitely continue to do!) I have much less time for actually reading the blogs that catch my interest and fear that I’m probably missing out on some good ones too!
Does anyone else feel the same way?
It would be fairly easy to write a program like this using C# to automate Internet Explorer. Just put it on a random timer to alter the time between drops and have it pick a random number between say, 150-250, drops a day. Such a program would be difficult to detect since it would effectively mimic the typical EntreCard power dropper.
